“The Halo: Fireteam Raven” is currently only available in Dave and Buster’s restaurant. Four players will have more weapon options on the basis of “Halo: Combat Evolved”. The overall process of the battle is about 45 minutes, and the game experience is very fun. I first cleared all 6 missions in 4-players mode, and then experienced the first half of the game in two-players mode. Like other multiplayer games, you can only get the best gaming experience when each character is controlled by a real person, but the AIs will automatically fill in the vacancies, so the lack of manpower will not bring any additional burden. Players don’t need any substantial cooperation, everyone just needs to guard their own area. So even if you don’t know anything about the “Halo” series, it won’t make any difference.
“The Halo: Fireteam Raven” successfully restored those iconic firearms in this series.
Every level of the game is not long, but it shows a real arcade feel. You will be armed with the classic weapons in the “Halo” series to fight against enemies such as elites, Guru, jackals, bats, and floods. I am very happy to be able to relive the original “Halo” in this way, and some of the scenes are indeed reminiscent of the first adventure of the Master Chief. The graphics of the game is also very good.Although it is not as good as “Halo 5”, but it is good enough for an arcade game. The game has been stable at 60 frames during the running process, and there has never been a frame drop.
The feel of the weapons in the light gun game is really important, because shooting is almost all of what you do during the game. “The Halo: Fireteam Raven”successfully restores those iconic firearms in the series. The assault rifles have transplanted the hand feel on the XBOX very well, and it can hit and destroy the shields of the elite in the way you expect. And in order to better adapt to the arcade gameplay, the magazine of the assault rifle has also been expanded accordingly, so the settings on the XBOX are not completely copied. The powerful rocket launcher can bring an excellent gaming experience, but the shotgun’s speed of fire is obviously too fast, and its sound effects are far less sexy than in the traditional “Halo” game. Strangely, the pistol, the strongest weapon in “Halo: Battle Evolution”, has become the weakest weapon in “Fireteam Rave”. The pistol feels very weak, but fortunately it only appeared once in a battle.
In “TFireteam Raven”, you can’t freely choose the weapons. The available weapons in each scene are preset. Grenades are also relatively scarce, and there are no visual instructions. If I throw a grenade and turn to the other side, I won’t even know if the grenade explodes.
“Fireteam Raven” turns the traditional “Halo” game into a firework show.
Disappointingly, the game does not include boss battles, but you do can experience some infinite ammo battles. You will have the opportunity to control warthog personnel carriers and shadow turrets, and fight against evolutionary floods, Wraith tanks, hunters and other large enemies. The slow motion in the game is usually accompanied by some explosion scenes and looks very good.
The combat strategy of “Fireteam Raven” should be to wait for large enemies to reveal their weaknesses before shooting. Even so, the rhythm of the game is very good and won’t make you feel boring. It turns the traditional “Halo” game into a firework show, and its ending is particularly gorgeous. The sergeant makes a few cameo appearances, but there is no line. It is a pity that the game process of it is way too short. Its plot is a branch of “Halo: Battle Evolution”, and the presentation method is more like pressing “8X” fast forward.
As an arcade game designed to “swallow” players’ game coins, the design of “Fireteam Raven” is not too greedy. There was a long enough interval between each death, but each of us eventually died 8 or 9 times, and it took about 15 dollars to successfully pass the level.
The Halo: Fireteam Raven” has an impressive physical setting, fast-paced battles, and many iconic weapons in this series. After clearing the levels, I felt refreshed and smiled from the bottom of my heart. It’s great to be able to see some classic scenes again on the arcade, and the relatively expensive game fees are worth the fare. But in general, one pass of this game is enough.
